Lance Steward, Ph.D., MBA, is a serial life science entrepreneur.  He served as the chief strategy and operations officer at the Institute for Protein Design (IPD), for over ten years working closely with David Baker, Ph.D. to manage the IPD’s Translational Investigator Research Program – which led to the formation of 14+ co-founded biotechnology companies. Lance has held C-level leadership roles in academic, private and public companies. His board of director experience includes Tetra Therapeutics (Grand Rapids, MI, acquired in 2020 by Shionogi), and is a current observer on the board of Vilya, Lila Biologics and Archon Bioscience.
